Indication
In treatment of fluid retention (edema) and swelling due to congestive heart failure, liver disease, kidney disease.
Mode of Action

TORSEMIDE
Belongs to a class of drug known as Loop diuretics. It is used to treat hypertension or edema. It lowers the blood pressure by removing the extra water, salt and certain electrolytes from the body by increasing the urine production. -
SPIRONOLACTONE
Belongs to a class of drug known as Potassium-Sparing diuretics. It is used in the treatment of Hypertension, Edema & low potassium. It mainly acts on the collecting duct where it prevents the loss of potassium & increases the removal of extra salt, water or fluid from the body.

Precautions
Alcohol
It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Torstar Tablets &Torstar Plus Tablets.
Pregnancy
Make sure your doctor knows if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant.
Medicine
Do not take other medicines unless they have been discussed with your doctor.
Liver & Kidney
Should be used with caution in patients with liver & kidney disease.
